The Niche Marketing Mini-Sites

Many people claim to some success with niche marketing mini-sites. These sites are made up of a few pages with information about a particular product or group of related products. The niches must be located using keyword research. Typically they are marketed through article marketing or other backlinking strategies. So far I am better at building the sites than marketing them.

This mini-site has some information about the various types of exercise equipment available for use in the home. I supported this site with an article that was accepted by EzineArticles, the premier article publishing site. That article has the distinction of having the lowest click through rate of any article that I have published. I have added a blog to this space as an alternate means of marketing the site.

This site has some information and catalog pages for several categories of Gemstone jewelry. This site is supported by an article on GoArticles, another article directory. I have just added a blog to this space to try to attract more attention.

This site is in sub-domain space of The Closet Online. It has information about men's formal and semi-formal attire. I have a Squidoo lense that was intended to support this space. Of my three lenses this one has had the poorest response.

Plus Size Info

This space has some fashion tips for the large percentage of the population that wears sizes in the double digits. There are also some shopping suggestions to online specialty shops catering to the plus size market. I have just installed a blog on this space and am populating it with articles that I hope will be of interest to the target market.

To date I have not seen a great deal of success with these sites. It does appear that the blogs may attract a bit more attention to these sites. I did not do the best job of researching the sites as I was and am still learning about keyword research and SEO. Sites like these are designed to draw targeted shoppers to the sites and can produce good results.
